THE ROOKIES ( movie review)

I have never watched a movie with so much interest and the funny part of it was that I had this movie on the system for six months  I finally got bored and decide to watch it. It was worth 6 hours of dedication spent on watching it (chuckles), I was just kidding. The movie run time is just two hours and the scenes were so related. It’s been a while I actually watched a very enticing 2-hour movie and enjoying every bit of it. 

The movie centres around an 18th-century freemasonry organization called ‘order of the phantom knighthood’ which was an international independent special unit to fight terrorism. The Phantom which the organization is commonly called was after the man which was named ‘Mr X’. MR X stole a biological weapon along with its antidote with the intention of selling this weapon to a terrorist named IRON FIST. The phantom mission was to recover the biological weapon from Mr X before he hands it over to the IRON FIST. 

The mission took a twist when four individuals who were not part of PHANTOM find their selves in the midst of this event and things got complicated from their forward. The questions which will be in the minds of everyone at this moment will be whether the world was saved or where the rookie (four individual) successful in stopping this catastrophe that was imminent. I won’t be spilling out that for you guys, you have to watch the movie to find out more about it. 

Overall, the movie production was excellent and the storyline was neatly arranged and this will help carry viewers along. The casts’ remarkably lived the role assigned to them and that gave life to the movie because the cast was able to interpret the role excellently. It was a science fiction movie and that helped give the movie a nice theme. The Movie was shot across two countries and in order of how they appear is China (Bejing) and Hungary (Budapest). Languages spoken are English and Mandarin.  

Initially, I didn’t want to talk about anycast role in the movie but I just have to give a loud of applause to MILLA JOVOVICH, she played her role superbly. She has always been an actor I admire and love watching especially when it’s an action movie and in this movie, she did excellently well. She acted as a member of the PHANTOM and she played the role of ‘ALEX’ in the movie. Her execution of the role was top-notched and no one could have done better. 

If you are interested in watching a movie that keeps you at the edge of your seat and which is filled with action and in between the comic character to make you relax a bit, then this is the movie to watch. By the way, the movie was released in 2019.
